Five new deaths associated with Covid 19 infection have been reported.
The number of new Corona infections in Austria continues to rise. From Wednesday to Thursday, 5,144 new infections were registered in Austria. This is above the average of 3,020 over the past seven days. Currently, 39,712 people in Austria are actively infected with the coronavirus.
The seven-day incidence is 237.53. Ninety-nine thousand six hundred thirty-four new PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours. This results in a positive rate of 5.16 percent.
There are also five new deaths associated with Covid 19 infection to report. Thus, the pandemic has still claimed 18,687 lives in Austria.
In the hospital, 470 patients are treated, three more than on Thursday. In intensive care units, there are 39 patients, one less than the previous day.
